Custard Campers have bought a new campervan but sadly it currently doesn't have a name. We discussed some ideas without agreement then we had an idea....
Why not throw it out to you lovely people? So here it is our lovely new camper...
It is a 1973 Westfalia Continental. It is right hand drive, has original interior (this may alter, we are trying to make our minds up!), it has a double bed in the back and another double in the spacious poptop.
We'd like you to put your thinking caps on and come up with the perfect name for it!
TIPS
- We are called Custard Campers. Our brand identity has a 'food' theme to it.
- Our other campers are called; Nigella, Delia & Ramsey (Gino joins us for weddings too)
- The camper could be a boy or a girl!
- As we anticipate several duplications of names we will be choosing the winner at random, not based on the name they suggest. All entries will be put in to a prize draw and the winner chosen at random. However if only one person suggests the winning name we will reward that with an extra smaller gift as a thank you for being so clever.
One lucky person will win a complimentary two day hire of the new campervan. The hire period we have set aside is Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th April. Insurance for the hire period is included for one named driver.
- The prize is subject to our normal hire terms and conditions which can be viewed here. The driver must comply with our age restrictions & other terms of our insurance policy as stated.
- The hirer will have to pay the security deposit before the hire period commences which is refundable on the safe undamaged return of our camper as per our terms.
- The weekend dates are not transferable however we try to flexible where possible & it might be possible to exchange for another April weekend but we can not guarantee that.
- The prize cannot be exchanged for cash (or anything else!)
- The Camper will be collected from our address near Chelmsford, Essex.
- One entry per person only please.
- Closing date for entries is Thursday 14th March.
- The winner will be announced Sunday 17th March.
- Photos will be taken of the winning person setting off on their hire & we'd like to blog about where their adventure took them, so you must be happy to share some photos with us for this use.
- Custard Campers decision is final.
- Important - the winner will be picked at RANDOM, you do not have to pick the winning name, all entries will be put in to a draw.
We would like to get as many of you as possible to enter so we have tried to make it as easy as possible. You can enter by any of the following methods;

The first name that sprung to mind for me was Cookie :) The colour looks like a biscuit (but that reminds me of the horse, Sea Biscuit) and Cookie is a food related name. Also I guess it could be a boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the mind of Scavenger Annie, hehe! ;)

ReplyDeleteDone! Shared on Twitter and tweeted. Thanks for a brilliant competition prize. Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteFanny -as Fanny Craddock was on TV in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteHi Kerry, Continuing with both your 'food' theme and also your 'names' for your busses theme.. I suggest, Hazel.
ReplyDeleteThe colour reminds me of Butterscotch flavoured Instant Whip (remember that from the 70s?), but that's probably too long for a name - so instead ... what about Graham, named after Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Kerr
ReplyDeleteHe should be called 'Rhubarb' of course!
ReplyDeleteOooh He looks sophisticated and down to Earth, a real country camper so I think he should be called Hugh! Like Hugh Fearnly whatshissocks!
ReplyDeleteI think he should be called Heinz after the German chef Heinz Winkler. It shows respect to vw roots, and us Brits can just about cope with the name! We all love a bit of Heinz :-)))
ReplyDeletemushroom as it looks magic
ReplyDeletei think you should call her demerara cos she loooks sweet
